RAJINI FANS WAITING FOR REAL CONFIRMATION
ரஜினியின் `சிவாஜி' படம் இந்தியா முழுவதும் சக்கை போடு போட்டது. வெளிநாடு களிலும் `டாப் 10' வரிசையில் வசூலை குவித்தது. சர்வதேச அளவில் இந்திப்படங்களை பின்னுக்கு தள்ளி அதிக விலை போன ஒரே தமிழ் படம் `சிவாஜி' தான் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
இந்தியிலும் விரைவில் டப்பிங் ஆகிறது.
ரஜினி தற்போது அடுத்த படத்துக்கு தயாராகிறார். மணிரத்னம் அப்படத்தை இயக்குவது முடிவாகி விட் டது. `ஹிட்' படங்கள் கொடுத்த நிறைய டைரக்டர்கள் பெயரை பரிசீலித்து இறுதி யில் மணிரத்னத்தை தேர்வு செய்துள்ளார். தளபதி, நாயகன் சாயலில் கதையை உருவாக்குமாறு மணிரத்னத்திடம் கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளார்.
`சிவாஜி'யின் உலகளாவிய வரவேற்பால் அடுத்த படம் பண்ணுவதில் எச்சரிக்கை யுடன் இருக்கிறார். சிவாஜிவை விட வலுவான கதையை தயார் செய்யுங்கள் என்று அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.
தளபதி, நாயகன் படங்களை இயக்கியவர் மணிரத்னம். அழுத்தமான கதைக்கருவுடன் ஆக்ஷன் படங்களாக அவை உருவாக்கப்பட்டன. சினிமாத் தனத்தை மிஞ்சிய யதார்த்தங் கள் படத்தில் மிகுதியாக இருந்தன. அது போன்ற கதையில் நடித்தால் தான் சிவாஜியில் கிடைத்த புகழை தக்க வைக்க முடியும் என்று ரஜினி கருதுகிறார்.
கதை விவாதத்தில் மணிரத்னம் குழுவினர் இரவு பகலாக ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர். ஓரிரு மாதங்களில் திரைக் கதை தயாராகி விடும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. அதன் பிறகு பாடல் பதிவு நடைபெற உள்ளது. சிவாஜியில் இசை யமைத்த ஏ.ஆர். ரகுமானே இப்படத்துக்கும் இசையமைப் பார் என தெரிகிறது.
ரஜினி ஜோடியாக இந்தி நடிகைகளில் ஒருவர் நடிக்க வாய்ப்புள்ளது. ஐஸ்வர்யா ராயை நடிக்க வைக்க மணிரத்னம் விரும்புவதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. வித்யாபாலன், ஆயிஷா தாகியா பெயர் களும் பரிசீலிக்கப்படுகின்றன. அனைத்து வேலைகளையும் டிசம்பருக்குள் முடித்து விட்டு ஜனவரியில் படப்பிடிப்பை தொடங்குகின்றனர்.

Rajini OR JAyalitha---WHOS most popular?
Rajinikanth was bragging to Jayalalitha one day, "You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them".
Tired of his boasting, Jayalalitha called his bluff, "OK, Rajini how about Tom Cruise?"
"Sure, yes, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it" Rajini said.
So Rajini and Jayalalitha fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door, and sure enough,
Tom Cruise shouts"Thalaiva! Great to see you! You and your friend come right in and join me for lunch!"
Although impressed, Jayalalitha is still skeptical.After they leave Cruise's house, she tells Rajini that she thinks Rajini knowing Cruise was just lucky.
"No, no, just name anyone else" Rajini says.
"President Bush", Jayalalitha quickly retorts.
"Yes", Rajini says, "I know him".
And off they go. At the White House, Bush spots Rajini on the tour and motions him, saying,
"Rajini, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a cup of coffee first and catch up".
Well, Jayalalitha is much shaken by now, but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds, he implores her to name anyone else.
"The Pope," Jayalalitha replies.
"Sure!" says Rajini, "My folks are from Germany and I've known the Pope a long time".
Rajini and Jayalalitha are assembled with the masses in Vatican Square when
Rajini says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope."
And he disappears into the crowd headed toward the Vatican . Sure enough, half an hour later Rajini emerges with the Pope on the balcony.
But by the time Rajini returns, he finds that Jayalalitha has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.
Working his way to Jayalalitha's side, Rajini asks her, "What happened?"
Jayalalitha looks up and says, "I was doing fine until u and the pope came out on the balcony and the the man next to me said,
"Who's that on the balcony with Rajini?"
